There may not be too many who remember Lois from her real estate career days but, I am one. May the road rise to meet her. RIP

I had the rich blessing of getting to know Lois for the past three years through the Care Ministry at First Evangelical Covenant Church in Grand Rapids. picked her as "my person" to visit. As was easy to do with Lois, we quickly became friends, especially when we learned we shared a love of watching football on Sunday afternoons! More significantly, I quickly learned how much Lois loved her family, her girlfriends in Bedford who still invited her to lunch(!), and how much she loved God. She told me that every morning her prayer was, "Make me a blessing today, Lord". He answered that prayer every day in her encounters with people. We enjoyed lunch a few times after going to an appointment. She was a big fan of Panera. I persuaded her to try Russ' one time and she loved that, too. As we came out of the restaurant and started to make our way to the car, a gentleman came up behind us and very patiently waited as she moved along slowly with her walker. She stopped and greeted him, apologized for being slow, and then quipped, "I have one speed slower than this one!"
Lois' favorite verse, which she recited many times was Galatians 2:20. "I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me." She is now enjoying eternity with the one who gave her life!
