Mary J. Friling

Spotsylvania County, Va. - Mary Joseph Friling, 75, of Spotsylvania County passed away Thursday, March 6, 2014, at Mary Washington Hospital, following a brief illness.Mrs. Friling was raised in New York and was a graduate of Gettysburg College. She married Lawrence Friling in 1960, and they lived for many years in New Hampshire, where she was a CPA. Upon retiring, she and her husband moved to Virginia in 2008. She was a board member of the Wynd-mere Home Owners Association and a member of the Belmont Women's Club.She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence, in 2010.Survivors include her three children, Diane Friling of Atlanta, Ga., Barbara Friling Johnson and husband Doug of Orange County, and Richard Friling of Dover, N.H.; two grandchildren, Allen Friling and Nicole Waldron; three great-grandchildren, Autumn, Alice and Kora; and a sister, Barbara Schilling of Conway, S.C..
