Matthew Irvine Obituary
He had a kind soul and compassionate heart. As a teenager Matt was a member of the Oyster River ski and golf teams and he volunteered for the Special Olympics as well as the junior volunteer program at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital.
Matt loved golf and skiing. He moved to Colorado after graduating from Oyster River High School in 2006 to pursue his passion of skiing which he learned to do at the age of four at Gunstock Mountain Resort in NH. He scored his first and only "hole in one" at a golf course outside of Boulder, CO during this time. He graduated with an associate's degree from Colorado Mountain College.
He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Rev. Wendell and Laura Irvine who were from Raymond, NH and his maternal grandparents, Frederick and Margaret M. Treseler who were from West Roxbury, MA. Besides his parents, he leaves many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who loved him, cared about him and will miss him.
SERVICES: Calling hours are Saturday, May 14, from 2 to 4 p.m., at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., corner of North Street, Manchester, NH. A celebration of Matt's life will follow immediately at 4 p.m. in the funeral home. Rev. Dr. Mary Westfall will officiate. Burial will be at the convenience of the family at Greenwood Cemetery in Kingston, NH.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to NH Hope for Recovery, 140 Central St., Manchester, NH 03103, or to Webster Place, 27 Holy Cross Rd., Franklin, NH 03235.

My heart goes out to you. This is such a devastating thing to deal with. As we come together today to celebrate Matt's life, I have been thinking back over the many, many wonderful years that Matt was a part of our lives on Carriage Way. We were so lucky to have such wonderful neighbors and such a great group of children who played together like brothers and sisters. You were such an important part of that Matt and those happy times will continue to live on in my memory for ever.

My heart sincerely breaks for you. Bill, I just saw you a few weeks ago at The Inside Scoop and Matt was doing well. You are both amazing, loving and supportive parents and I am sure Matt knows that. I know that there is nothing that you would not do for your son. There are NO words that will ease your pain. It was with a heavy heart that I read of Matt's passing. I will always remember his smile and the enthusiasm he showed when he learned something new in my classroom. May knowing that others are thinking of you help sustain you in the days and weeks to come.

Dear Jean and Bill, We were so incredibly saddened to learn of Matt's passing today! The obituary was beautiful and brought back the boy we remembered from across the street! I remember him as the confident boy would who would come over after school and sometimes ask to get baby Andrew from his naps! He was the "cool boy" in our neighborhood, especially to my impressionable 10 year younger son, who ogled on as Matt would pop-a-big-wheelie on his bike, wear a stylin' silver neck chain, and could swing golf clubs like a pro! The smile on his photo, was the same one I will remember as the boy who grew up into a young man right before us on Carriage Way.
