BRADENTON, Fla. -- Michael Alan Corbeil, 58, died Feb. 25, 2009, at his home in an untimely death.
He was born in Littleton, N.H., on Dec. 21,1950, to Joseph and Helen Corbeil. He grew up in North Woodstock, N.H., and was a graduate of Lin-Wood High School Class of 1970. He went on to Monsarate School of Art in Boston. After some travel he returned home to work at the Chalet Restaurant and then the Woodstock Inn Clement Grille as a waiter. After too many cold winters, he went back to Florida to join friends.
He loved art, life, music and family. He was a great artist and quite a jokester, accepting things he knew he couldn't change. Mike was a very loving and gentle person.
He will be missed by those who loved him and those who had the opportunity to know him.
Family includes his parents, Joseph and Helen Corbeil of North Woodstock; a brother, Thomas Corbeil of North Woodstock; a sister, Bonnie Emerson of Lincoln, N.H.; and several cousins and grand-nieces and nephews.
IN HIS LIFE: Family also includes three nieces, Cindy Bradley, Aimee Kolomick and Tamara Becker; and two nephews, Joseph Emerson and Chad Lamotte.
SERVICES: At the request of Michael, there will be no church service. A celebration of life will be held Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Woodstock Station for family and friends to honor and memorialize his life and share stories.
Memorial donations may be made to Elton John Aids Foundation, 584 Broadway, Suite 907 New York, N.Y. 10012.

To the Corbeil Family,
I was deeply saddened to receive news of Michael's death. We were good friends in high school. Michael was such a gentle sweet person, a talented artist with a great sense of humor. God bless you Michael.

To Sonny & Helen:
We were very sorry to read about the loss of your son, Michael. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family during this difficult time.
Although we did not know Michael personally, our families were close neighbors when my parents lived up on Bell Street.
