Stanley L. Rice
Stanley "Stan” L. Rice, 83, passed away on September 8, 2025, in Wilmington, NC. Stan was born in Crewe, VA on September 1, 1942, to Iris and Letcher Rice.
Stan spent some time in Norfolk, VA working at Coca-Cola with his uncle. After two years he moved to Richmond, VA where he worked at Graybar Electric Company. He transferred with Graybar to manage the Wilmington branch. Stan retired from Graybar after 32 years.
Stan loved sports. He especially loved bowling, golf and watching baseball, football and NASCAR.
He is survived by his wife, of 54 years, Linda.
He is also survived by his son, David Rice (Tiffany), daughter, Sandy Brock (Alan), and his only grandchild, Dylan Brock, whom he was especially close to.
He is also survived by his brother, Steven Rice (Nancy) of Virginia, and his sister-in-law, Connie Wills (Robert) of Maryland.
Funeral arrangements will be private.

Dad,
I think about you daily and miss your presence already. Your kindness, advice and humor was deeply cherished throughout the years. So many positive memories of you to share and carry on your legacy. You put up a courageous battle with Parkinsons Disease. Hopefully in the near future, a cure will happen. I love you.

I'm so sorry that you are not here any longer. I feel we have been together our entire lives and it's very hard to see you go. I am glad that you don't have to struggle and suffer any longer. I miss you so much already. Rest easy until we're together again. I love you.
