He was born in New York City to Monroe and Marion Michael. He attended New York City public schools. Mike enjoyed collecting coins and playing cards. He particularly enjoyed baseball, and cut a diamond in the field for his boys. Mike was part of the Sandwich Town Team.
He was probably best known as one of those wonderful guys who worked at the "The Store" in Sandwich for 30 plus years. His warm and friendly personality made everyone feel special and Mike will be missed by family and friends. He was rarely seen without Bunny by his side. They were always together, enjoying each other, their life and a wide circle of friends.

Dear Bunny, Tim, and Family Members,
Linda, Marc, and I were saddened to learn of Mike's passing. We feel so fortunate to have known him since moving here in 1973.
I have said it before and will say it again, "Mike" Michael is the friendliest person I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. His sense of humor was always present and he was always willing to be helpful in any possible way. I cannot recall ever seeing him when he was not smiling. I always had a great feeling after speaking to him. And this includes the times we disagreed on a variety of topics. (But he would still smile while we debating!)
We will miss him very much but are happy that we had some many years of knowing him.
Our thoughts and love are with all of you at this time.
Rod, Linda, and Marc Weinberg
