HOOKSETT -- Norbert A. Emond, 83, of Green Street, died Dec. 16, 2009, at Concord Hospital.
He was born in Allenstown, June 16, 1926, to Hector and Yvonne (Baron) Emond. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, serving on the USS Silenus and USS Crescent City.
He e was employed as a mill worker and later worked as a residential carpenter.
IN HIS LIFE: Members of his family include his wife Ann J. (Bussiere) Emond of Hooksett; five children, James Emond of Hooksett, Richard Emond and his wife, Deb, of Hooksett, Gail Emond of North Bend, Wash., Kevin Emond and his wife, Helen, of Barnstead, and Lisa Emond of Leeds, Maine; and his only grandson, Matthew Emond.
He also leaves siblings, Maurice Emond of Laconia, Lorraine Fredyma and Hector Emond Jr., both of Allenstown; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
SERVICES: There are no calling hours. A memorial Mass will be celebrated Monday at 11 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church. Spring burial will take place in Old St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
