Norman Vincent Ameral

1939 - 2022

Norman Vincent Ameral, 82, passed away January 20, 2022 at Kirkwood Corners in Lee, NH. He was born September 24, 1939 in Malden, MA, son of the late Manuel Damascus Ameral and Florence M. (Heath) Ameral.

Norman was one of two children in his family, He grew up in Malden and Everett and attended schools in Everett. On April 23, 1960 after dating for a year, he married the love of his life, Barbara Pothier. They lived in Everett for a few years before moving to Peabody, MA to raise their son and resided there for 31 years. Norman was a longtime truck driver starting with McLane Trucking, then worked for Carolina Trucking and retired from ABF Trucking. He earned his pilot's license in 1965. He would rent a plane and mainly flight out of Beverly Airport when he flew. Norman also enjoyed his toys as he had 3 different boats in his life and 5 different motorcycles. He formerly belonged to the Blue Knights MA 5 Chapter for many years. He and Barbara enjoyed traveling and their favorite destination was Hawaii where they visited twice.

He was predeceased by his brother, Laurence Ameral who died in 2007.

Norman is survived by his wife, Barbara Ameral, son and daughter-in-law, Vincent and Patricia Ameral, 2 granddaughters, Chloe and Kera Ameral, 2 great-grandchildren, Nathan Burton and Maeve Byors.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 from 4:00-7:00 PM at the Brewitt Funeral Home, Raymond, NH.

The funeral service will be private and burial will follow in New Pine Grove Cemetery, Raymond, NH.
