MILFORD -- Paul E. Trombly, 79, died June 27, 2009, at home.
He was born in Amherst, Nov. 25, 1929, to Ectus J. and Josephine L. (Bisson) Trombly.
He was a lifelong resident of the Milford area.
Prior to his retirement in 1988, he had been employed by Hendrix Wire & Cable Company, Milford, for 27 years. He had also worked for the Town of Milford.
He enjoyed traveling and gardening.
He was a communicant of St. Patrick Church, Milford.
He was a loving father, a devoted grandfather and great-grandfather.
IN HIS LIFE: He was predeceased by his wife of 57 years, Pauline O. (Martin) Trombly, on Sept. 18, 2008, a son, Larry Trombly, a son-in-law, David Emmett, and several brothers and sisters.
Family members include a son, Jerry Trombly and his wife, Carole, of Milford; four daughters, Paula Brantley of Newport News, Va., Janet Emmett and her partner, Andrew Carpluk, of North Port, Fla., Anita Trombly of Milford, JoAnn Fish and her husband, Michael, of Englewood, Fla.; four grandchildren, Eric Brantley and his wife, Tanya, Jeffrey Trombly, Mathew Trombly, and Nicole Underwood and her husband, John; one great-grandchild, Jordan Underwood; a sister, Ella Sullivan of Nashua, two sisters-in-law, Helen Trombly of Milford and Hope Trombly of Banning, Calif.; and many nieces and nephews.
SERVICES: Calling hours are Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm St., Milford. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10 am in St. Patrick Church, 34 Amherst Street, Milford. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Milford.
