Peter DiZio Obituary
He was born in Derry on August 10, 1974, the son of Peter and Alice (Calvert) DiZio. He attended Pinkerton Academy, graduating in 1992. He had been employed as an industrial mechanic for Coca Cola Bottling Company of New England for the past five years. Prior to that, he had worked for 20 years at Osram Sylvania. Peter loved to ride and race motorcycles. Pete also loved trains, but mostly had a love of steam engine trains as he was an engineer at Clark's Trading Post in his teenage years. He was a lover of all animals and had many pets throughout his life. Pete was always meticulous with his cars and motorcycles and always made sure they were in perfect condition.
Family members include his wife of seven years, Shauna (Cote) DiZio; his four-year-old son, Brendan DiZio of Manchester; his parents of Derry; two sisters, Kathleen DiZio of Derry and Ann Falter and her husband Stephen of Attleboro, MA; and many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Calling hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover St., Manchester on Wednesday from 4 to 7 PM with funeral services to follow in the funeral home chapel at 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Peter's memory to Dana Farber Cancer Institute at www.dana-farber.org. To view an Online Tribute, send condolences to the family, or for more information, visit www.phaneuf.net. Please note current restrictions limiting funeral home capacity to no more than 50%. Those in attendance are respectfully requested to wear face coverings and practice social distancing.

So very , Sorry for your loss. I worked with Pete for many years at Sylvania. I Just recently re-connected with him at the gym before the Pandemic started. It was so nice to see him again after so many years. I am so very sorry to hear of his passing. Going to miss you Pete, Rest peacefully my friend.

Shauna, Brendon, Mike, Chrissie and to Pete’s family my most sincere sympathies. Pete was always a joy to work with at Sylvania. His Chewbacca imitation was legendary. Shauna he found love when he found you. Your son is your link to Pete going forward. That smile shows how much he loved the people in his life. Carry that joy in your heart.

So sorry for your loss, worked with Pete second shift, many a talk about motorcycles which he loved and knew alot about. Always a very upbeat guy, if there was somebody singing out loud in the workshop, had to be Pete.

Oh sweet Pete, I will miss that smile. I have had so much to be grateful to you for over the past 5 years or so, you were so good to Steve and you had the patience of a saint. I enjoyed living next door to you for just a few months, it was always so good to see you out in the yard with Brendan or out in the driveway polishing one of your cars.
