Raymond Boissoneau Obituary

Raymond R. Boissoneau, 87, of Laconia, NH passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on October 28, 2025 at the family home in Bedford, NH, after a short illness.

Born in Laconia, NH Ray was the son of the late Russell Boissoneau and Jeanne (Pelchet) Foote. He attended Laconia High School and married his high school sweetheart the late Doris A (Guilmette) Santee in 1958. Together they had five children and despite being divorced many years ago, Ray and Doris remained best friends until she passed with him by her side in 2003. He lived most of his life in Bedford, NH, returning to his hometown of Laconia, NH in 2020.

Mr. Boissoneau served in the Army National Guard in New Hampshire and New Jersey and was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 1 in Laconia, NH. He was a faithful member of the St Andre Bessette Parish in Laconia, NH. Ray had a lengthy-successful career in electronics owning and operating printed circuit board manufacturing companies in New Hampshire, Quebec, Ontario and United Kingdom, under the company name of Electropac Co., Inc. Prior to his illness Ray was retired but kept himself busy managing and curating his Gallery of street cars, race cars, military vehicles, memorabilia, antiques and collectables; Autopac Gallery, in Laconia, NH.

He was awarded many accolades over the years for his contributions to his industry, local businesses and the community. His passions were his family, car racing, sports, travel, sharing history with the younger generations and embracing the people he met along his journey of life.

Along with his parents and first wife, Raymond was predeceased by his son Scott Boissoneau, his grandson Reece Boissoneau, his brother and sister-in-law Geoff and Nancy Currier and sister Jill McNally.

He leaves behind his sister and brother-in-law, Dian and Robert Gilman of Alexandria, NH, brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Barbara Foote of Laconia, NH, brother and sister-in-law, Less and Beverly Foote of Meredith, NH and sister and brother-in-law, Trudy and Steven Geel of Whiting, ME and brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Cindy Currier of Titusville, FL.

His love and support will be missed by his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren left behind. Son Steven Boissoneau and wife Elena of Bedford, NH, Daughter-in-law Chris Boissoneau of Manchester, NH, son Troy Boissoneau and wife Annmarie of Bedford, NH, daughter Michelle Boissoneau-DuPont and husband Robert of Hooksett, NH, daughter Wendy Boissoneau-Decato and fiancé Norman Lachance of Merrimack, NH. I grew up next door to the Boissoneau family in the 60's and 70's on Steven's Ave in Merrimack. In just the 5 houses in a row, the Boissoneau's, Foss', Hilliard's, Backman's and Skirkey's, there were 26 children. We spent a lot of time playing together and the Boissoneau's were a big part of that. We spent a good amount of time in their yard and in the swamp behind the house and in the wood's behind our house. One of my fondest memories of Mr. Boissoneau was in the late 60's, when Mr. Boissoneau was a huge factor in the starting of the MYA. He bought me my first catcher's mitt when I started playing minor little league. Thank you Mr. Boissoneau. I have recalled that many times over these almost sixty years. What a great time and place to grow up!!! My condolences to the family. God Bless you all.

I am grateful for being offered the opportunity to get to know "Mr. B" as I referred to him. He carried such a presence in my eyes that I couldn't bring myself to call him by his first name. I was proud to help him catalogue his unique auto gallery and get a first-hand look at this creative genius. He was one-of-a-kind leaving his family with a treasure trove of memories. Rest in peace, Mr. B, and thank you for my own memories.
