Reta White Obituary

MANCHESTER -- Reta A. (Shepard) White, 70, died Feb. 5, 2009, at Elliot Hospital.

She was born in Chester, Nov. 9, 1938, to Roger and Alberta (Estes) Shepard.

She was a graduate of Coe-Brown High School in Northwood.

She and her late husband owned and operated R J White Artesian Wells Co., a well drilling company in Goffstown, for more than 20 years. Later in life she resided in Rumford Point, Maine, and ran the Trails End Restaurant. After her return to Goffstown, she was employed at the Weather Vane Restaurant.

She enjoyed cooking and found much satisfaction in cooking for her family. She also enjoyed traveling into Vermont and Maine and doing puzzles.

She was predeceased by her husband, Roland J. White.

Family members include a son, Roland W. White; a brother, Gerald Shepard; and two sisters, Ruby Whitham and Linda Lazotle.

She was predeceased by a grandson, Jamie White.

IN HER LIFE: In addition, other family members include a grandson, Jason White, and many nieces and nephews.

SERVICES: A memorial service will be held on Sunday at 4 p.m. at Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover St., corner of Union Street, Manchester.

Memorial donations can be made to American Lung Association, 20 Warren St., Suite 4, Concord 03301.

Arrangements are under the direction of Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Manchester.

"Hope that "NEW HARLEY" can make it all the way to heaven, Reta. God speed, and thank you for many a nice get-to-gether, with us also. You & "Sim" rode many a long mile, around our great country. Thank you for your friendship, especialy in our later years. Thank you, "Sim", for all you have done to make our friends life, more at ease. God bless, Reta, we will miss you, very much.
