Robert Caron Obituary

Robert Joseph Caron, 78, of Candia, passed away at the Elliot Hospital on May 15, 2025 due to complications related to cancer.

Born in Manchester on November 21, 1946, he was the son of Emile and Helen (Ouellette) Caron, the eldest of 10 children. He attended grammar school and high school at St. Anthony of Padua, where he met the love of his life. He then went on to earn an engineering degree at NH College. He was a proud United States Navy Vietnam Veteran and served 22 years in the Navy Seabee Reserves. Bob worked as a documentation specialist with Osram Sylvania for 40 years. He was a lifelong parishioner of St. Anthony Parish and was very active in the theatre, including Stage One Productions, Dinner Theater at the Chateau, Derry Opera House, Candia Players and his movie debut in Special Agent Hudson Marr with Carrington Studios. Bob was a devoted husband to his 8th grade sweetheart, Diane, a loving father to his two daughters Amy and Sara, and a cherished Pepere to his grandchildren Jacob, Zachary and Nora. He will be remembered for his incredible craftsmanship of treasured Christmas ornaments, the ability to fix anything and everything, never ending stories and jokes, an animated sense of humor and magnetic personality. His presence lit up any room with joy and laughter.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and were touched by him.

Family members include his wife of 56 years, Diane (Tremblay); two daughters, Amy Maurice and her husband Chris of Manchester, and Sara Winter and her husband Sam of Bow; three grandchildren, Jacob Maurice, Zachary Maurice, and Nora Winter; two brothers, Richard Caron of PA and Henry Caron of WI; three sisters, Irene Poulin of SC, Diane Roy of FL, and Rita Bennett of VA; and many nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Calling hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover St., Manchester on Thursday, May 22 from 4 to 7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Anthony Church on Friday, May 23rd at 11:00 AM. For more information or to view the online memorial, go to www.phaneuf.net

My sincere sympathies to Diane, Amy, Sarah and family. This made me sad.
Diane watched my son Keith as a Young boy, Amy was Keith´s first little friend. I saw the family for many years.
I never saw Bob without the smile he has on this picture. An inseparable couple, a devoted dad.
A rare man.
May he rest in peace with his family knowing the difference he made in so many lives just with his smile.

Bob and Diane were in The Hayriders group in senior year at St. Anthony HS. Such memories from so many years ago certainly warm this old man's heart. Rest in peace my old friend.

Heartfelt condolences to Diane and family. My most vivid memory of Bob, while we were in high school, is his wonderful recitation of the comedic "The Psaltry". He still brings laughter to my heart with the amusing "Pee Sal Tree" interpretation. Thank you Bob for the many years of joy.

My sincerest and deepest condolences to the family. Bob was truly one of the kindest human beings that I've ever had the pleasure to be acquainted with. I worked with him for years and shared in his joy/pride back in the late 90's when I ran into him at my son's first grade open house at St. Anthony's. Mine for my son, the student and him for his daughter, "Miss Caron", the teacher! Did we laugh! I've never forgotten that about Bob, how he'd attended his daughter's first open house; sure does speak to his character, a very loving man who will be missed for a very long time by many. Prayers and peace to all of his family.
