Robert Gauthier Obituary

Robert D. Gauthier, 78, of Auburn, passed away peacefully May 12, 2025 surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in York, ME, on March 23, 1947 to Gerald and Therese (Beaudoin) Gauthier. He graduated from Kailua High School, class of 1965, in Oahu, HI, before moving on to study Botany at the Barstow Community College in Barstow, CA. Robert moved frequently since his father was a Marine, but he eventually ended up in NH where he met his wife, Linda (Ramos) while both were working at Sylvania in Manchester.

Robert worked for Sylvania as a maintenance worker for 17 years, after his retirement, he worked for Holy Cross Health Center and Maple Leaf Nursing Home. In his spare time, Robert loved riding his motorcycle, trips to the beach and Aruba, as well as sharpening his skills on the ukulele and wood working, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Linda of 33 years; his daughter Jessica and her husband Scott Hardage of Texas; his step-children Arthur and his wife Nicole Bedard of Manchester, Lily and her husband Nick Poulicakos of Manchester, Todd and his wife Mindy Bedard of Auburn; his sisters Marie (Gauthier) Provencher of Texas, and Suzanne (Gauthier) Cody of Rochester; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Robert was predeceased by his parents.

SERVICES: Calling hours will be from 10am to 12pm on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Lambert Funeral Home and Crematory, 1799 Elm St., corner of North St., Manchester, NH. Following the visitation, a funeral service will take place in the chapel at Lambert Funeral Home.

Dear Marie and Suzy, may God comfort your hearts in this time of loss. I remember how infatuated I was with cousin Bob! Ken said he recalled carpooling and working with Bob and finding out that he was Pat´s cousin!
