Robert Hogan Obituary

Robert Charles Hogan passed away peacefully at his home in Bedford, NH on December 5, 2018. He was born in New Haven, Connecticut, on January 12, 1948, son of the late Morris Charles Hogan and Rose (Obymako) Hogan. He was the husband of Rachel Hogan, they were married in Manchester, NH on Sept 18, 2004.

Robert attended public school in Claremont, NH graduating from Stevens High School. He served in the United States Air Force from May 1967 until May 1971, serving in the Vietnam War. Mr. Hogan worked for Diamond Shamrock Corp for over 20 years, while residing in North Carolina.

Anyone who met Bob knew he had a loving heart, infectious smile, and a great sense of humor. He loved going fishing, Nascar, and playing golf with friends.

He is survived by his wife Rachel, his son, Lt. Col. Kyle Hogan and wife Melissa of Clarksville, TN; his daughter, Stephanie Jarrell and her husband Landon of Belmont, NC, stepchildren Matthew Poire of Bedford, NH and Tracy Regnier and her husband Shawn of Tarzana, CA; four grandchildren, Ian Hogan, Macy Hogan, Kira Jarrell and Logan Jarrell. He is also survived by his mother Rose Fisher of Manchester, NH and two sisters, Janet Gelinas of Manchester, NH, and Beverly Briggs and her husband Vern of Sunapee, NH. He also leaves several nieces and nephews.

There will be no calling hours, however, family and friends are invited to attend a Veterans Tribute at the NH Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, NH on Friday December 14, 2018 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be in his name to the American Cancer Society or Home, Health and Hospice of Merrimack.

If there truly is another "world-life" we're given, I hope you have met up with friends and family lost and are having some fun. I pray Mom and Pop are together and you are close by them. Rachel and family, I am so sad to hear of Bob's passing - he was truly a fighter and inspiration to all that knew him. He had an amazing sense of humor and incredible smile. My heart goes out to you and know there will always be a place in our hearts for him.
