Roland E. Boyer

1927 - 2022

Roland E. Boyer, 95, passed away on Monday, December 12, 2022, at the New Hampshire Veterans Home.

Roland was born on February 27, 1927, in Temiscamingue, Canada, to the late Joseph and Albina (Fournier) Boyer. He proudly served in the US Navy aboard the USS Stalwart (AMC-105) and was honorably discharged on June 15, 1946. Roland was predeceased in May 2017 by the love of his life, Francoise (LaCroix) Boyer. They were married nearly 65 years and loved dancing at the American Legion Sweeney Post #2 on Saturday evenings with friends and family. Roland loved to tease and joke around with the people he cared about. He was always ready for a game of cribbage and loved to tell stories about his Navy days and bread route. Roland leaves behind his daughter, Linda Phippard and her husband Charles; his son Michael Boyer and his wife Carol; his son Rene Boyer and his wife Vicky; his brother Ivon Boyer; his sister Joni Johnson and her husband Greg; nine grandchildren (Holly McCabe, Joseph Boyer, Kaitlyn Upton, Chelsey Valente, Rebecca Phippard, Cassandra Lloyd, Melissa Gaston, Sarah Ellis, and Andrew Chandler); and several great grandchildren (Hannah, Cameron, Ariana, Elijah, Conner, Clayden, Jacob, Abby, Lilliana, Bryson, Issac, and Hunter). Donations may be made in Roland's memory to the New Hampshire Veterans Home in Tilton, NH. Burial will be held in the spring at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, NH 03303.
