Roland Proulx Obituary
He was born in Manchester Aug. 20, 1961, son of Roland O. and Patricia (Lessard) Proulx and had been a lifelong resident of the city.
He was a supervisor for PGM of New England, where he had worked for 29 years. He was also a firefighter for 20 years and captain with the Manchester Boston Regional Airport Fire Department. He loved to fish, play golf and ride his motorcycle. He was a graduate of the University of New Hampshire and a parishioner of St. Pius X Church. He was a youth baseball and hockey coach and was very active with the Manchester Boys and Girls Club. He was selected as employee of the year for the fire department and was named "Boy of the Year" for the Boys and Girls Club.
Family members include his loving wife of 28 years, Robin (Rene) Proulx; his parents of Rockledge, Fla.; two sons, Ryan J. Proulx and Riley S. Proulx, both of Manchester; three sisters, Janet Barton of Colorado, Jo-Ann Dame and her husband, Rick, of Manchester, and Jodi Morel and her husband, Kenneth, of Goffstown; and nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts and cousins.

SERVICES: Calling hours are Tuesday, Nov. 8, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover St., Manchester. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday, Nov. 9, at 10 a.m. in St. Pius X Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Roland J. Proulx Memorial Fund, c/o Manchester Airport Firefighters Association, 402 Kelly Ave., Manchester 03103. To view an online tribute or more information, go to www.phaneuf.net.

We were so shocked and saddened by the news of Roland's passing. We share comfort in knowing he is no longer suffering. We were fortunate to have known you all through softball many years ago and have great memories of those terrific times together. Our deepest condolences on the loss of your loving husband Robin and to Pat and husband on the loss of their son from the John Gorski family of Olympia, Washington. Earlier this week I heard from Lorraine Provencher that Roland was very ill and now learn of his passing. We pray that he rests in peace this day he be remembered in our prayers each and every day.
