Stanley Bitzkowski Obituary

MILFORD - Stanley P. "Ski" Bitzkowski, 65, longtime resident of Milford, died on June 21, 2013, at Catholic Medical Center, Manchester.

He was born in Willimantic, Conn., on Sept. 18, 1947, a son of Benjamin S. and Genevieve E. (Serwanski) Bitzkowski. He was raised and educated in Connecticut and graduated from the University of Connecticut, class of 1976.

Mr. Bitzkowski had been employed as an electrical engineer for Sanders Associates for many years.

He was an avid Coca-Cola collector and dealer. In addition, he enjoyed woodworking and all types of carpentry.

Mr. Bitzkowski was a U.S. Navy Vietnam-era veteran.

Family members include his loving wife of 36 years, Olga (Holowczak) Bitzkowski of Milford; two sisters, Elaine Mistretta of East Lyme, Conn., and Beverly Rondeau of New London, Conn.; a brother, Jerry Bitzkowski of Windsor, Conn.; several nieces, a nephew and two grand-nieces.

services: There are no visiting hours. A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 28, at 10:30 a.m. in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm St., Milford. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Willimantic, Conn., at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
