Steven Dusseault Obituary

Steven R. Dusseault, 50, of Manchester died March 15, 2017, at his residence, after a courageous battle with ALS, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Manchester on May 14, 1966, he was the son of Charles A. and Frances L. (Francoeur) Dusseault. He was a graduate of Goffstown High School, earned his BS in Civil Engineering from UNH, and a Master's Degree from Northeastern University. He was a lifelong resident of the Queen City.

Steven had been employed as a Geotechnical Engineer for 25 years by WSP/Parsons Brinckerhoff. During that period he worked in many key roles on the Central Artery Project in Boston "The Big Dig" when he first joined the firm, and later was the Deputy Project Manager and Construction Lead for the Port of Miami Tunnel Project which was selected as Project of the Year in 2016. More importantly, Steve truly cared about his colleagues and constantly thought about providing support and opportunities for the people he worked with.

Steven was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, hiking, and spending time with his wife Becky traveling. He also enjoyed reading, playing strategy games and listening to music. He had a great sense of humor and was a "risk taker". Steven was never afraid to try new things. He loved his wife immensely, as well as his family. Above all else, he will be remembered as a loving husband, son, brother, nephew, uncle, cousin, and as a great friend.

Family members include his loving wife Rebecca "Becky" (Bussiere) Dusseault of Manchester; mother Frances L. Dusseault of Goffstown; two sisters, Charlene Nichols of Goffstown and companion Bruce Hookailo, and JoAnn Fisher and husband, Gerald of Bedford; two brothers, Michael Dusseault of Goffstown, and Charles R. Dusseault and wife, Kristen of Manchester; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews; and grand nieces and grand nephews. He was recently predeceased by his father, Charles A. Dusseault; and aunt, Priscilla Poirier, both in October, 2016.

Calling hours at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., corner of North St., will be Sunday from 2 to 6 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Parish of Transfiguration, 107 Alsace St., Manchester on Monday at 9:30 am. Committal prayers will follow in the mausoleum at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester. Steven's family would like to express their sincere gratitude to MDA, as well as the other organizations that provided assistance to them during their time of need. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: The ALS Center of DHMC, Dept. of Neurology, Attn. Kevin Williams, One Medical Center Drive, Lebanon, NH 03756 or online at www.dartmouth-Hitchcock.org/als/how_you_can_help.html. Dear Fran and family, I'm so sorry for your loss. And I apologize for taking so long to write but I was in the hospital myself. I remember Steven as a cheery little boy who was always willing to 'do his best' in cub scouts. Such a happy kid. I'm glad that he married and was successful in his chosen career. Hoping that all the good words from everywhere are a comfort. He is with his dad but they will both be in your hearts forever.

It is with a heavy heart that I would like to send my condolences to Becky and family. I also worked with Steve on the Big Dig and greatly enjoyed his company. He was an integral part of the B/PB team. When I moved to New York in 2001 for work with PB, I remember calling Steve in 2004-05 to try and recruit him to consider a position with our CM team on the Fulton Transit Center project. His devotion to family, friends, and New Hampshire was his priority above career opportunity. A man with his heart and mind in the right places through out his life. May he Rest In Peace and blessings to all of his family. Bill Goodrich

Becky, Sue and I are so deeply saddened with your loss. First Charlie then Pris and now Steven . It just isn't fair I can still see Steven helping Pris in her kitchen to help create another new experimental dish which always pleased Will and the rest of us in Florida . We will all miss those times but cherish them in our hearts. We must pray god to give us the strength to overcome this third Dusseault hurdle in the last 5 months. Roger & Sue Port ST Lucie Florida.

Becky and family, My sincere condolences to you. This came as quite a shock. Reading the obituary was painful. Steve leaves not only family, but MANY dear friends and co-workers who loved him and laughed with him and learned from him. He was a great guy to work and to socialize with...I don't recall seeing him without a grin or smile. His passing saddens us all. May he Rest In Peace.

Rodrigo Pigna - a friend from the Miami office.
Great partner, always there for us, contractors respected him a great deal, a real PB ambassador.

Together we were able to break Miami Dade's Water and Sewer code that translated to various wins.

God bless Steve and his Family!

He will be missed.
