It is with great sadness that the family of Steven Hebert announces his passing on Friday March 13, 2026, at the age of 65 after complications from abdominal surgery.
Born in 1960 to Normand and Pauline Hebert, Steve graduated in 1978 from Memorial High School in
Manchester, NH. He then attended the School of the Museum of Fine Arts (SMFA) in Boston for a while however, the tuition proved too costly for a guy working long hours and spinning pizzas at Regina's Pizzeria.
Steve worked for Goodwill of Northern New England starting at the Hooksett store and eventually managing the Londonderry store for many years. Steve was so outgoing and made such an impression that employees to this day still refer to him as "Londonderry Steve".
Steve was a great cook and enjoyed cooking and entertaining for family and friends. In his 50's he decided to change careers and became a chef at a small assisted living facility in Manchester. He delighted and entertained the residents as he sang songs in the kitchen while cooking their favorite meals from scratch. Years later his cardiologist recommended that he find other work that wasn't as physically demanding, but he always liked helping people so he found a rewarding job at Easterseals of New Hampshire working directly with one day client for several years, and that client had made many improvements by the time Steve retired last year.
Steve continued working by continuing his love of hunting for treasure at thrift store and yard sales and then selling them at Antiques on Elm, a local antique shop. He especially liked collecting jewelry and glass. Always keeping his love of the arts alive, he was a master creator of unique and beautiful glass flowers and hummingbird feeders using repurposed glass. He was a volunteer for Families in Transition at their Outfitters Thrift Store and took time each week to sort through tote bags of costume jewelry to find the occasional gold, silver and gemstones to boost revenue for the nonprofit organization.
Steve was a gifted and giving man. He was caring and creative, generously sharing his numerous abilities and talents in support of churches, nonprofits, friends and family. One of his greatest gifts was his outrageous sense of humor. Steve brought joy to everyone he met.
Steve was predeceased by his mother, Pauline, his father, Normand, and his sister, Susan. He is survived by his husband of 30 years, Paul Scott of Manchester, brother Daniel Hebert and his wife, Susan of Candia; sister, Christine Donati and her husband, David of Bedford; sister, Karen Hebert and her husband, Richard Vachon of Goffstown; nephew, Brian Hebert and his partner, Emily DeVinney and their two boys, Jacob & Paxton; and niece, Megan Hebert and her son, Thomas, as well as many cousins, aunts & uncles.
The family is grateful for the support of his friends, especially his lifelong friends David Fergon and Lisa Mason who spent considerable time by his bedside during his final days in the hospital.
SERVICES: No services will be held at the time. The family will hold a private remembrance at a later date.
Assisting with arrangements is the Cremation Society of New Hampshire, Manchester. To view Steven's online tribute, send condolences to his family, or for more information, visit
