Victor Damboise Obituary

DERRY - Victor A. Damboise, 92, of Derry, NH, passed away Tuesday June 5, 2018, surrounded by his loving family in the Catholic Medical Center, Manchester, NH. He was born in Lowell, MA on April 17, 1926, a son of the late Thomas and Anna (Parent) Damboise, and had been a resident of Derry since 1958. Victor proudly served his country in the US Army during WWII, serving with the 2nd Armored Division. He was a member of the American Legion Post #4 in Haverhill, MA and the VFW Post #1617 in Derry. Victor worked as a custodian in the Derry School System. He enjoyed carpentry, mechanics, motorcycle racing and was a musician. He was a communicant of Holy Cross Parish in E. Derry.

He is survived by his beloved wife of over 70 years, Claire (Marcouillier) Damboise of Derry; two daughters, Priscilla Smith and her husband Larry of Raleigh, NC, and Carroll O'Connell and husband Robert of Auburn, NH; one son, Richard Damboise and wife Jody of Goffstown, NH; five grandchildren, Craig Jones, Seth Jones, Joe O'Connell, Nicole Damboise, and Aaron Damboise; six great-grandchildren; and one sister, Pauline Kane of Florida.

SERVICES: There are no calling hours. Following cremation, a graveside service will be held on Friday, June 8, 2018 at 2:00 pm in the Forest Hill Cemetery, East Derry Road, Derry.
