Wayne Marcoux Obituary

Wayne Alan Marcoux, 67, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Manchester. He was born on January 15, 1950 in Manchester to the late Ronald and Ann (Christian) Marcoux.

He was a graduate of Memorial High School before receiving his associate's degree in Industrial Electricity. He was a gifted master furniture maker for the vast majority of his life. He was lucky enough to have turned his passion into a career where he won countless awards for his unique style and beautiful pieces of art. Wayne was a juried member in the League of New Hampshire Craftsmen, past President of the Guild of New Hampshire Woodworkers, and a Master with the New Hampshire Furniture Masters Association. He was a kind and generous man who enjoyed

a good political conversation and spending time with his close friends and family.

He was predeceased by his brother Richard R. Marcoux of Manchester.

He is survived by his daughter Casey Ann (Marcoux) DeYoung and her husband Jonathan R. DeYoung of Raymond, NH; his beloved grandchildren Kyle Patrick O'Flaherty, Ryleigh Ann O'Flaherty, and Jaxon Richard DeYoung all of Raymond, NH; his former wife Leslie Dyment of Concord, NH; his nephews Jeffrey and Matthew Marcoux of Manchester, NH; his brother Brian Marcoux, niece Dawn Mitchell and nephew Ronnie Marcoux; and some very close friends who were more like family - you know who you are.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. However, there will be a celebration of life planned for the many people who loved and respected him. For those interested in making a donation in Wayne's honor, he was a proud supporter of the Liberty House in Manchester, NH.

So sorry. Just heard about it today. Myself and Wayne were great friends at MMHS. Some how we graduated with all the days we skipped school together. Haven't seen Wayne in a few years but I will surely miss him.

Leslie we are saying a prayer for you and the family. We hadn't seen Wayne in a number of years but when we heard the news we were deeply saddened. I personally will never forget the old days with the 3 amigos, Wayne, Perry and Mel. It was always a good day when they showed up at the lumber yard. I know everyone says he is in a better place, but that doesn't help much. God bless you and yours until you meet again.

Casey, I remember after school one day, we went to your house to hang out and I was completely awed by the beautiful woodwork and furniture everywhere. I wanted to move in with you and your parents. My heart goes out to you and your family. He's always going to be with you, honey, watching over you and your kids. Love you.

My sincere condolences to Wayne's family. While I haven't seen him for many years, he was a special person in our lives. In the mid 90's he designed and built a beautiful piece of furniture for us. We met at his shop a number of times to discuss design and selection of wood. He was a kind and talented person. We have the pleasure of seeing his artistry every day.

Wayne I was really glad to know you and be a friend back in the 80's. You were the senior man at the stand up bar back at the "Old Dog". You had to keep in line your old crew of Perry,Richie,Dee,and don't forget Louis and Mel. You had my back when I did an electrical repair at our afternoon coffee shop. You were also the most talented carpenter that ever met. Glad I could call you a friend. Miss you Wayne.

R.I.P. B.I.L. Always thought we would have a few more talks in the shop before this happened. Guess they can wait until we meet again.
