William Baldoumas Obituary


EXETER - William P. Baldoumas, 96, passed away peacefully on Dec. 29, 2016, at Exeter Hospital, following a brief illness.

He was born in Manchester on Oct. 23, 1920, the son of Peter and Constandina (Zogopoulos) Baldoumas.

He attended local schools and graduated from Central High School. He later earned his Bachelor's degree in Business from New Hampshire College of Accounting.

He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He held an executive position in the Waumbec Mills until his retirement. He also lived in Florida and Hampton Beach before settling in Exeter.

In his spare time, Bill liked to travel, spend time with his family and friends, and he had a great singing voice.

He was predeceased by his wife, Genevieve Baldoumas, on March 21, 2016.

He is survived by four sons: Peter, James, and Anthony, all of Manchester, and Steven of Exeter; two daughters-in-law, Nancy of Manchester and Ellen of Exeter; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Harry Baldoumas, and one sister, Mary Baldoumas, both of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; two nieces and two nephews.

SERVICES: A calling hour will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2017, at the Assumption of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church, 111 Island Pond Rd., Manchester, N.H., with a funeral service to follow at 12:00. Burial will follow at the Pine Grove Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Assumption of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church, 111 Island Pond Rd., Manchester, NH 03109.
