WEST LIBERTY – Beckey Jean Zavada, 84 of West Liberty, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2025 at Springfield Regional Medical Center.
Beckey was born on March 23, 1941 in Celina, Ohio, to the late Kenneth and Doris Mae (Wolfe) Ordean. On Jan. 29, 1966 in Dayton, Ohio, she married the love of her life Johnny Zavada, who preceded her in death in 2020.
She is survived by her children, Doris "Jeannie" (Brad) Jensen and John R. (Ember) Zavada; grandkids, Nicole Rizzo, Cody Zavada, Nathan Zavada, Andrew Zavada, Kylie Zavada, Kaylee Burke and Jessica Burke; great-grandkids, Mackenzie Baumgardner, Avery Rizzo, Isabella Rizzo and Michael Haney.
Beckey enjoyed traveling with her family, crocheting, cross stitching and spending time with her friends at the Logan County Friendly Senior Center. She loved her family and dogs dearly. Beckey retired from Nash Finch after 15-plus years as a forklift operator. Beckey was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to get to know her and her kind and caring nature.
She is preceded in death by her sister, Mickey Poore.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2025 at 11 a.m. at JENNINGS FARLEY & SEELEY FUNERAL HOME. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of the services. Burial will take place in Highland Memorial Cemetery following the service.
