URBANA - Chris Maxwell, 55, of Urbana, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 in Springfield Regional Medical Center with his loving wife by his side.
He was born April 24, 1962 in Xenia, Ohio, the son of Lewis G. and Mary M. (North) Maxwell. Chris enjoyed collecting hot wheels, antiques, and coins. He liked playing Pacman, driving back roads, and sitting on the front porch, but most of all he loved spending time with family and friends, best friend, Shane (Josie) Grass, Dwain Black and many other friends.
Chris is survived by his wife, Gracie Maxwell, daughters, Jennifer (Pat) and Jamie, sons Chris (Stephany), Daniel (Kelly), Isiah, and stepson, Chris, grandchildren, Danyelle, Dalyla, Dayzie, Boston, Landon, Braden, Braxton, Brooklyn, Bronson, Karmen, Kamren and Kloe, 3 step granddaughters, brother, Gene (Robin), sisters, Sis, Carolyn (Jeff) and Glenda (Randy, 9 nieces, 10 nephews and several great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Maggie; sister, Donna "Dink"; brothers-in-law, Joe Carpenter and Duane Carney; niece, Sarah Gilbert; several aunts, uncles; special "little brother," Chilton Jackson; and beloved dog Forrest.
Special thanks to Springfield Regional Medical Center and staff, with a special thanks to Ryan and Jamie for the excellent care they provided to Chris. Grace and family would like to express our gratitude and love to BethAnn Jackson for the help and support she has given.
A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Vernon Funeral Home to help offset funeral expenses.
