NORTH LEWISBURG – Grace L. Corbet, 90 of North Lewisburg, passed away on Friday, Sept. 20, 2024 in her home.
She was born on Feb. 25, 1934 in Springfield, Ohio, to George Moats Sr. and Helen (Strawsburg) Jaudon.
She married the love of her life, Carlton Corbet, on July 24, 1959. She spent over 25 years as a school bus driver for Triad Local Schools where she also helped in the cafeteria. After retirement, she worked at Cardinal's Pizza and always attended the Champaign County Fair in their trailer. She enjoyed weekly card games with her friends Gary and Nancy Yoder, and Aaron. Her other hobbies included playing board games, reading, crossword puzzles, casino games, and being a huge Elvis Presley fan. Most of all she loved to spend quality time with her family.
She is survived by her daughters, Linda (Tony) Payne, Mary (Michael) Stemkowski, Kimberly Johnson; her sons, Mark (Ping Song) Corbet, Ronald (Linda Giddons) Taylor; her grandchildren, Brittany Noland Collins, Skylar Noland, Emily Jeffries, Bradley Corbet, Ashley Ropp, Cody Erwin, Kaycee Erwin, Rhonda Deam, Amber Farmer; her great-grand-children, Magnus Miller, Alice Corbet, Hailey Blubaugh, Colton Harmon, Myles Harmon, Audrey Napier, Shayla Kaffenbarger, Courtney Kaffenbarger; her sisters, Phyllis Shaffer, Sandy Patton, and Karen Hursh; as well as many nieces and nephews and three great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Larry Jaudon and George Moats Jr. and her sister; Judy Rust.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4-6 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 26 in FRESHWATER MCDONALD & VERNON FUNERAL HOME, North Lewisburg.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 27 in the funeral home with Hannah Miller officiating.
Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel cemetery.
