Helene Boldman Obituary
CABLE - Helene D. Mason Boldman, 86, of Cable, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 31, 2017.
She was born January 21, 1931 in Millerstown, Ohio, a daughter of Nellie (Knull) and Rudolf Meissner.
Survivors include daughters, Deborah (Steve) Shaw and Kimberly (Gary) Martin; grandchildren, Gayle (Avi) Shaw Jenkins, Jill (Mark) Moore, Joseph Roy Shaw, James Shaw, Anne Helene Shaw, Neil Shaw, Vanessa (Daniel) Scantlin, and Ciara (Seth) Young; and great-grandchildren Mary, Orin, Arthur, Gabriel, Kayman, Madi, Jacob, and Esther.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Roy E. Mason, and her second husband Arthur C. Boldman.
Helene cherished spending time with her family, opening her home to be the gathering place for holidays, birthdays, and family celebrations. She was an accomplished pianist, playing in several musical groups throughout her life. She also enjoyed dancing, reading, and gardening. She loved animals, especially her cat Rusty, and her canine friend Ziggy.
The family will receive friends from 9-11 a.m. in the WALTER & LEWIS FUNERAL HOME, Urbana. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. in Oak Dale Cemetery, Urbana.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Paws Animal Shelter, 1535 U.S. Route 36 Urbana, OH 43078.
