URBANA - Imogene (Northup) Myers, 83, of Urbana, passed away unexpectedly with her husband and daughters by her side at Lawnwood Regional Memorial Center in Fort Pierce, FL on Tuesday, January 9, 2018, on her 83rd birthday. She was born, January 9, 1935 in Urbana to the late Harry and Beulah Northup. She was preceded in death by her infant son, Michael Lee Myers; mother; father; and brother, Robert Northup.
She retired from W.B. Marvin Mfg. in 1992. She was an avid gardener, exceptional cook and liked reading in her free time. One of her favorite pastimes was watching her daughters and grandchildren's activities and milestones. She truly loved her winters in Florida, dancing and traveling with close friends. Some of her favorite times were spent with her furry pets, many friends and entire extended family.
She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Richard Myers; daughters, Rhonda Ward and husband Warren Marsh and Vallarie Plotner and husband Brad; grandchildren, Ashlee and Mark Ward, CJ Marsh and Sydney, Riley and Hillary Plotner. She will be greatly missed by her canine friend, Macy Myers.
The family will receive friends noon-3 p.m. on Sunday, April 15, 2018 in the WALTER & LEWIS FUNERAL HOME, Urbana, followed by a memorial service at 3 p.m. with Rev. Tim West officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her honor to Barely Used Pets, 844 Jackson Hill Road, Urbana, OH 43078.
