MECHANICSBURG - Joyce Ann Gossett, 63, of Irwin, passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2016 in Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus.
She was born June 12, 1953 in Columbus, Ohio, the daughter of the late Russel Herman and Dorothy Mae (LaGore) Caudy.
Joyce was a 1971 graduate of Groveport High School and earned her Bachelor of Business degree from DeVry University. She was a devoted member of the Zion Lutheran Church in West Jefferson as well as the Madison County Herb Society. Joyce enjoyed cooking, crafting, crocheting, gardening, and watching Buckeye football.
Joyce is survived by her husband of 38 years, Jerry S. Gossett; her daughter, Lori Ann (Gossett) Sampson of Huron, TN; her son, Matthew Steven Gossett of Hilliard, OH; her 11 nieces and nephews; and her many friends.
A gathering of family friends will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, October 28, 2016 in the Zion Lutheran Church, 221 S. Center St., West Jefferson, Ohio 43162. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 29, 2016 in the church with Rev. Denise Edwards officiating. The family will receive friends at the church for 1 hour prior to the service from 10-11 a.m.
Memorial contributions may be made in Joyce's memory to Zion Lutheran Church, 221 S. Center St., West Jefferson, Ohio, 43162.
Services are entrusted to SKILLMAN, McDONALD & VERNON FUNERAL HOME, Mechanicsburg.
