URBANA - Larry A. Chrisman, age 81 of Urbana, Ohio passed away on Nov. 20, 2022. He was born on Nov. 17, 1941 in Urbana, Ohio to the late Fred and Juanita (Rickard) Chrisman.

Larry selflessly served our country in the United States Army. He served from 1960-1963 in Augsburg, Germany in the military police. Upon his discharge, he continued his career in law enforcement, serving locally for the Urbana Police Department from 1963-1965. He then started working for the Champaign County Sheriff's Department from 1965-1970.
Larry took some time off law enforcement and began working for Troutwine's North Grocery Store as a manager from 1970-1980. He later returned to law enforcement with the Champaign County Sheriff's Department from 1980 until his retirement in 2004. Larry was a compassionate man. He cared more for others than he did for himself. His family was the most important thing to him and he loved them dearly. Some of his hobbies included fishing, doing word search puzzles, drawing, and watching Andy Griffith. He was a talented handyman, doing some woodworking in his later years. Larry was always a fun man to be around and was the king of one liners.
