Michael Heath Hess

SPRINGFIELD, Mo - Michael Heath Hess, age 53, residing in Springfield, MO, passed away on August 12, 2018. He was a steadfast Past Exalted Ruler of the Elks Lodge #409 who gave tireless hours of service to all those he knew. He was a hard-working man and a committed member of the United States Navy, with a pure spirit and kind nature. He was an ardent supporter of the Honor Flight of the Ozarks, and he will be missed by all.

He was preceded in death by Charles "Paps" and Joan Hess. He is survived by his parents, Ron and Suzanne Hess; his beloved wife, Theresa Carter-Hess; mother-in-law, Catherine Ingraham; and all of his children that he treated as his very own, Andrew and wife Marabell Jones and their children, Gracie and Baby Jones, Candice and husband James Rawe and their children, MaKayla, Charli and Landon, Cathy and husband Brandon Gardner, and Jason Carter; along with his sister, Missy; Uncle George, Aunt Bugs; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, August 18, 2018 at The Elks Lodge #409, under the direction of GORMAN-SCHARPF FUNERAL HOME. Memorials may be made to The Elks Lodge #409, 2223 E. Bennett St., Springfield, MO 65804.

We will forever miss his warm and genuine nature, his bright smile, his humility and benevolence, willingness to serve, his terrible karaoke skills and his silly, priceless jokes.
