Richard Eugene Nott

MECHANICSBURG - Richard Eugene Nott, age 85, passed away on May 13, 2022 in Mechanicsburg, Ohio. Richard was born on June 26, 1936 in Point Pleasant, West Virginia to the late Grover and Blanche (Duncan) Nott. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Odell Nott, Billy, Louise Martinez, Betty Lou Adams, and Tom Nott. Richard is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Marjorie (Eades) Nott, children; Heidi (Nick) Wiant, Rhett Nott, Kendra Harris, and Alexa Anderson, grandchildren; Heath (Shannon) Rausch, Monica Nott, Gavin Nott, Evan Nott, Caroline Nott, Alicia Amis, Scarlett Wiant, Kolby (Bob) Bortree, Tyler (Jomanda) Anderson, and Caleb Anderson, great-grandchildren; Taylor, Kendall, Blake Rausch, Ayden, Isaac Bortree, Nanci Anderson, and siblings, Steve (Sharon) Nott, Lawrence (Donna) Nott, Elizabeth Waldnig, Judy Bostick, Mary Frances Howard, Kayceal (Bill) Bostick, Diane (Dennis) Penhorwood, Matilda (David) Orahood, Linda (Eric) Dearmond, and Donna Jean (Ronnie) Laird.

Richard was a 1956 graduate of Mechanicsburg High School. Richard married the love of his life on June 29, 1957. He loved basketball, football, and hunting. He even coached pee wee football. Richard worked 40 years at Navistar International and was a 4-H advisor for horses.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, May 19, 2022 from 10 a.m. to noon at the WALTER AND LEWIS FUNERAL HOME, Urbana. The funeral service will begin at noon. Burial to follow at Fairview-Mutual Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association in Richard's honor.
