Robert Stickley Obituary
URBANA - Robert Wallace "Wally" Stickley, 78, of Urbana, Ohio passed away on Monday, November 15, 2021 in Springfield Regional Medical Center.
Wally was born January 12, 1943 in Urbana, Ohio the son of the late Robert and Lois (Williams) Stickley. He was a member of the United States Trotting Association. He enjoyed riding horses, harness racing, hunting, camping, reading, movies and playing cards. Wally took care of the racetrack for 35-plus years at the Champaign County Fairgrounds.
Wally is survived by his wife of 36-plus years, Annie; children, Shelly (Roger) Ward, Micki Faulkner, Matt (Mary) Stickley and Andy Draper; grandchildren, Michala (Ethan), Erika (Brandon), Amber, Ashley, Elaina, Whytney, Wyatt, Cody, Anna, Joe and Nick; great-grandchildren, Noble, Rowan, Abel, Adleigh, William, John, Paul, Daniel, Rylie and Nevaeh and siblings, Gloria (Bobbie) Ward, Stella Kay (Willard) Rogan and Bud Stickley.
He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Jeff Stickley and siblings, Kathleen Nichols, Alice Jean White and Jack Stickley.
A celebration gathering of family and friends will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, November 19, 2021 in the Activities Building at the Champaign County Fairgrounds, Urbana, Ohio.
Arrangements are entrusted to VERNON FUNERAL HOME, Urbana, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Ohio Harness Horseman Association, 2237 Sonora Dr., Grove City, Ohio 43123.
