URBANA – Rosemary Puglia, 97 of Urbana, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 17, 2025 in her home.
Rosemary was born on June 24, 1928 in Scranton, Pa., to the late Orian Ray and Elizabeth (nee Wells) Marsh.
Rosemary graduated from Westerville High School before marrying her high school sweetheart, Richard, on Feb. 12, 1950. In 1956, the couple moved to Urbana when Richard began his career with Champaign Bank. For many years, Rosemary worked as an administrative assistant in the guidance office at Urbana High School, where she was known for her kindness, patience, and encouragement toward students and staff alike.
Rosemary's life was filled with many passions. She was a dog lover, a gifted pianist, and found joy in traveling, swimming, and reading. For more than 20 years, she was an enthusiastic supporter of the arts, especially as a member of Wright State Plays.
Above all, Rosemary cherished her family. She created a warm and loving home, and her greatest happiness came from time spent with those she loved most. Her kindness, grace, and joyful spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Rosemary is survived by her children, Rosemary (Richard "Rick") Wygal, Elizabeth (Thomas Kushmaul-Tom) Bush, Lucy (James) Yohey, Amy (Ronald) Hunter, Richard Puglia, Robert Puglia; 13 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.
Rosemary is preceded in death by her loving husband Richard Alexander Puglia and her parents.
