WEST LIBERTY - Steve Kelsey, 71, of West Liberty passed away on Thursday, Oct. 13, 2022 at Ohio State University Medical Center.
He was born Aug. 14, 1951 in Springfield, Ohio, the son of Orville and Genevieve (Leposchak) Kelsey. Steve graduated from Northeastern in 1969. He married the love of his life, Chloeanna (Bailey) Kelsey, in February of 1972. He worked at Navistar for 40 years. Steve was a talented musician, and he passed the love of music and talent to his grandchildren. He earned his black belt in Karate and became an instructor. He enjoyed fishing, flowers, gardening and landscaping.
Steve is survived by his loving wife; daughter, Lora (John) Phillips and their children, Danielle, Morgan, Amber; daughter, Angie (Yancey) Dunham and their children, Garrett, Holden, Ava, Ella, Hayden, Kirby (Kamryn) their son Arden; daughter, Stephanie (Michael) Reed and their children, Olivia (Colin), Ethan (Allie), Seth; son, Ryan (Lisa) Kelsey and their children, Cameron, Alexa, Ashlyn.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Robert.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2022 in the VERNON FUNERAL HOME, Urbana, Ohio with Pastor Frank Kampel officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
