BELLEFONTAINE - Wilma Louise Boggs, 82, of Bellefontaine passed away Tuesday morning, February 9, 2016 at Mary Rutan Hospital. She was born in Waverly, Ohio on March 30, 1933 to the late Glenn and Sara (Whaley) Sager. She was also preceded in death by a son Dominic Frank Colasante, granddaughter Lacey Nichole Arthur, and sisters Margie Rogers and Arlene Buker.
Wilma attended Hilliard High School. She married Dominic Colasante in 1950 and they had three children, surviving daughters Sharon Nichols of Johnstown and Teresa (Bob) Beebe of Bellefontaine. She later married Clarence Boggs and three step-children survive, Randal Boggs, Sandra Boggs and Ronald Boggs. Clarence and Wilma ran Boggs Carpentry and together managed Camp Myeerah for the Girl Scouts. Wilma loved all animals, wild and domestic. She enjoyed line dancing and always had a great sense of humor. Wilma was known to frequent the China Grill and even had her own table.
She loved the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren: Troy (Tonya) Orahood, Michelle (Duane) Grooms, Galen Nichols, Craig (Michele) Comstock and Tyler (Lacy) Arthur; nine great-grandchildren; a brother Eldon Sager of Johnstown; and many nieces and nephews. Wilma was "Grandma" to a lot of people, including Shellie and Billy Nichols.
Pastor Gene Phelps will officiate the funeral service on Sunday, February 14, 2016 at 3pm at the EICHHOLTZ DARING & SANFORD FUNERAL HOME, Bellefontaine where visitation will be held from 1-3pm. Private family burial will be in Zanesfield Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Top of Ohio Pet Shelter, 2521 US Hwy 68 North, Bellefontaine, OH 43311.
