URBANA – Zelpha M. Arnold, 95, of Urbana, Ohio passed away on Monday, June 19, 2023, in Urbana Hearth and Home.
She was born on Sept. 6, 1927, in Urbana, Ohio to Alpha and Edith (Evilsizor) Faulkner. Zelpha graduated from Westville High School in 1945. She worked at Champaign Bank in Urbana for 11 years, and was a school bus driver at Graham Schools for over 17 years. Zelpha was a member of the Terre Haute United Methodist Women and played violin for years during hymns and accompanied the choir. Zelpha and her sister Leah were greeters for the Red Cross blood drives in Urbana for many years. She had friends around the world due to her "open door policy" to all. She enjoyed traveling and playing dice and dominoes with her grandchildren. Until recently, Zelpha was often seen on her John Deere tractor mowing her large yard. Most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially during huge family gatherings for the holidays.
Zelpha is survived by her loving husband Russell G. Arnold; sons, John (Teri) Arnold, Scott (Renee) Arnold; grandchildren, Cyrus (Christine) Arnold, Max (Lindsey) Arnold, Molly (Mark) Griesbach, Regan, Seth, Taylor, Logan; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Ellie; siblings, Lillian Parrott, Frances Laughman, Nelson (Jane) Faulkner; daughter-in-law, Sandi Arnold; sister-in-law, Sandy Faulkner as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Mark Arnold; siblings, Elden (Harriett) Faulkner, Edna (Lester) Shaffer, Herbert (Betty) Faulkner, Richard (Jeanie) Faulkner, Donald Faulkner, Leah (Lee) Ludlow, brothers-in-law, Guy Parrott and Charles Laughman.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 3-7 p.m. on Thursday, June 22, 2023, in VERNON FINERAL HOME, Urbana, Ohio.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 23, 2023, in the funeral home with Reverend Michael Turner officiating.
Burial will follow in Terre Haute Cemetery.

Russell & Family......I have fond memories of the Arnold family attending Hawk family gatherings in Shelby OHIO.
Zelpha was always friendly & seemed very proud of her family.
