Brogan Patrick Colbert, 3, of Marcy, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 14, 2014, at Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital in Syracuse, surrounded by the love of his parents and family. He was born on March 31, 2011, in Utica, a son of William and Kelly (Moore) Colbert. He is survived by his parents, William and Kelly Colbert, of Marcy; a brother, Brady; his paternal grandfather, William Colbert; maternal grandparents, Grant Moore and Elaine Ruggiero; also several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his paternal grandmother, Carmella Colbert. The family wishes to sincerely thank the staff of doctors and nurses of the Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital in Syracuse for the wonderful care complemented by true compassion that was given to both Brogan and his family during this most difficult time. A Celebration of Brogan's life will be held on Friday at 1:00 PM at the Dimbleby, Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral Home, Forty Main St., Whitesboro, with the Rev. Cindy Mikarchuk officiating. Interment will be in Carr Cemetery in Marcy. Family and friends are invited to call on Fridayprior to the service from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, please consider the Central New York BMX Association, PO Box 399, Bridgewater, NY 13313, in his memory; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
