Dylan Q. Fitzgerald 1991 - 2021
WHITESBORO - Dylan Quinn Fitzgerald, 30, after a long struggle with addiction, passed away peacefully, with his mother and father at his side, on Friday, June 11, 2021, at Upstate University Hospital, Syracuse, NY.
Dylan was born in Lowville, NY, the son of David Fitzgerald and Dawn (Burdick) Fitzgerald. He was raised and educated in Deerfield, was a graduate of Whitesboro High School and an Eagle Scout from Troop 59, Deerfield.
Dylan truly was that person everyone knew and liked. His light shined bright and he would light up the room anywhere he went. The epitome of the social butterfly with a smile on his face and that twinkle in his eyes with his positive and upbeat personality it really was hard not to like him. He loved camping, the outdoors, music, playing his guitar, skateboarding and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his mother, Dawn (Burdick) Fitzgerald, from Sauquoit; his father, David Fitzgerald and stepmother, Maryann (Sorce) Fitzgerald, from Marcy; his brothers, Devon Fitzgerald and Noah Fitzgerald; his stepsister, Jessica Scott; his beloved son, Carter Reeves; his many aunts and uncles, John Fitzgerald, Robert and Joanne Fitzgerald, Patrick and Debby Fitzgerald, Bill and Irene (Fitzgerald) Weimer, Margaret Fitzgerald and her partner, Paul Knapik, Viola Fitzgerald and her partner, Larry Stamatel, Vinny and Juli Sorce, Joe and Shawn Sorce and Brian Burdick; grandparents, Dan and Kathy Burdick; grandparents, Rosario and Geraldine Sorce; grandfather, Mike Bolton; and many cousins.
He was predeceased by his grandparents, Andrew and Dorothy Fitzgerald; and grandmother, Rita Bolton.
