Edward Carroll Obituary
UTICA - Edward "Ed" W. Carroll, 81, passed away on Sunday, December 6, 2020 at the Masonic Care Community.
Ed was born on February 6, 1939, in Utica, the son of Edward J. and Minnie (Roth) Carroll. He was a graduate of St. Francis de Sales High School and served in the National Guard. Ed was employed with Verizon for 45 years prior to retiring. On May 5, 1962, Ed married Patricia Martin in Blessed Sacrament Church, a blessed union of 58 years. Ed was a communicant of St. Paul's Catholic Church, Whitesboro.
Surviving besides his beloved wife, Patricia, are his children, Bill and Sharon Carroll, NC, Dawn Carroll, Utica and Daniel and Amanda Carroll, Utica; grandchildren, Terrance Davis, Olivia Carroll, Aliza Carroll and Daniel Carroll, Jr.; in-laws, Donna and Bill Fullem, Phyllis Martin and Mary Martin; along with special friends, Frank Jakubowski and Celeste and Mike Pytko. He also leaves behind his faithful companion, Boots.
Ed was predeceased by his sister and brother-in-law, Doris and Vincent Waters; and brother-in-law, James Martin.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated on Friday at 11:30 a.m. at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Whitesboro. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
