Edward G. Trapp, 76, of Bloomfield, NJ, passed away Friday, August 14, 2009. Edward was born in Hoboken, NJ, and lived most of his life in Bloomfield, NJ. Edward is an Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He worked for many years with the Night Chemical Service at Hoffman LaRoche and retired in 1995. He was a member of the Society of the 1st Division Army, Blue Bell, PA; V.F.W., Nutley Elks, Knights of Columbus 1178 of Bloomfield, and a 4th degree member of KOC Father Isaac Joques. Edward is survived by his wife, Diane Mastro Trapp; his sons, Gerard and his wife, Jane of Whippany, Thomas J. and his wife, Sandy, and William J. and his wife, Jennifer all of Bloomfield; his daughters, Diane Christiano and her husband, William of Fairfield, Patricia A., and Theresa Lembo both of Bloomfield; his sister-in-law, Marie Mastro of Utica; and 15 grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy Kney Trapp, and sister, Gertrude Bennan, IN. Visitation will be held on Friday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the OBoyle Funeral Home, 309 Broad St., Bloomfield, NJ. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Edwards funeral service which will commence on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. from the funeral home; and the funeral mass will be offered at Sacred Heart Church in Bloomfield at 10:30 a.m. Entombment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
