BROOKFIELD, NY - Ernestine M. Jellerson, 67, a life resident of Brookfield, passed away with the love and support of her family at her side, on Saturday, October 27, 2018, at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center.
Ernestine was born at the New Berlin Hospital on February 22, 1951, the daughter of the late Alfred F. "Buck" and Alma H. Burgess Jaquay. Ernestine was a graduate of Brookfield Central School. Ernestine made her career at the Brookfield Central School, working in the Guidance Office and handling other school administration functions. Ernestine had served numerous years as the Madison County Fair's Treasurer. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, who could make any time together a special memory. Her beaming smile and quick remarks, that made all laugh, will be missed. Ernestine's love, wit and wisdom will forever be with her family and all those in the Brookfield Community.
Ernestine is survived by her devoted companion, Ron Goodson; her sons, Randy Marsh and his wife, Lori, along with their children, Meghan and Madison Marsh and Kevin Marsh and his wife, Tara, along with their children, Bradley Marsh, Ryan Fischer, Nicole Moynihan and Corey Moynihan; her sister, Penny Stiles and her husband, Pete, of Homer; her sister-in-law, Jaqueline Jaquay, of Brookfield; and her aunts, Sylvia Crandall and her husband, Jim, of Waterville, Mert Furness, of Waterville, Laura Stetson, of North Brookfield and Lillie Johnson, of Waterville. Nieces, nephews and close friends also survive Ernestine.
She was predeceased by her parents, Buck and Alma; and her husband, Jared Jellerson. Her brother, Michael F. Jaquay, passed away earlier on the same day as Ernestine.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the Brookfield First Baptist Church with the Rev. Mark Thall, Pastor, officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday, at the church, from Noon-2:00 PM, prior to the service. Interment will be in South Brookfield Cemetery. Following the interment services, a Celebration of Ernestine's Life will be held at the Johnson-Rogers American Legion, Post 1492, 10789 Miner Road, Brookfield.
Funeral services are under the direction of the Paul Funeral Home of Brookfield.
