Dear Linda and family, I had the pleasure of knowing Jim for over 20 years, and he always made me laugh. I remember being in Florida at the same time you were, and Jim invited me to go out to dinner in Las Olas with you and all of your friends. I remember laughing quite a bit. I just learned of his passing today, the 28th, and cannot express to you how very sorry I am. Please accept my deepest and sincerest sympathy. Cathy D'Aprix

I had the pleasure of spending a weekend with Jimmy in Cape Cod about 8 years ago. I was friends with Chris and Lou LaBella who were taking Jimmy there for the weekend. I will never forget how much fun we had with him that weekend. I think taking the trip with three 20-something year olds made him feel young again. Although I only spent a small amount of time with him I will certainly always remember it.

Dear Linda, Joyce and family,
I concidered Jimmy to be my closest friend. For many years we roomed, traveled, skied and caroused together. I came to know and love the whole Abraham family and later his wife Linda. We are all fortunate and richer to have known Jimmy and to have heeded at least some of his advice. I will miss you old friend.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Jimmy's family. We pray you gather comfort from the strength God will provide. He was such a great guy. I was saddened to hear how he suffered. Jimmy was great to work with as one of our suppliers for many years. He always had a funny story to tell and was a great business resource too. Rest in peace old friend. Linda,
Jimmy was a mentor of mine. He taught me about the pastry business, and more important about caring for people. I remember him teaching me the business when we shared a hotel room in California together at a NAMA show. He had a passion for everything he did, whether it was the business, Syracuse basketball, or you and the family. I will always be greatful to have shared his company and hope to pass on his compassion everyday. Thank you for being there for him!
My sincerest sympathies and love,
Andrew Young

Dear Linda & Joyce & Family
So sorry to hear of the passing of my cousin James Abraham. Looking back, as a young boy growing up in New York Mills, I remember times when my cousin Jimmy would come over to visit with this mother & father and sister Joyce. We looked up to Jimmy since he was a few years older and because of his easy going down to earth personality. Jimmy was the first one to teach me how to play baseball and to become competitive in sports. He was the first to loan me a professional style baseball glove and supplied that confidence and encouragement I needed. I recall one day he was around to defend me and my brother Charlie when cornered by neighborhood bullies. As we grew older we looked forward to family picnics and time when we were together and Jimmy of course would give us pointers and tips on how to improve our game. I will never forget my cousin. We're so sorry to learn that he suffered much with this long illness. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family. I will miss him. I'm also deeply encouraged by the scriptures; especially in the Gospel of John 14:19 Jesus said, Because I live, you will live also." May the Lord of heaven rest his soul in peace. I trust Jimmy is giving baseball lesions in heaven... In faith & hope , Anthony & Ann Joseph ( Fairport, NY)
