Mrs. Judy Ann Ferreira, 66, of Yorkville, passed away on December 9, 2013, at Faxton - St. Luke's Healthcare Center, with her loving family at her side. Judy Ann was born April 18, 1947, the daughter of the Michael and Mary (Yaghy) Izzo. She graduated from New York Mills Schools and later studied Sociology at Utica College. On March 22, 1981, Judy Ann was married to Alonso Ferreira, a blessed union of 33 years. Judy Ann was employed with the New York Teamsters Union - Local 182, retiring after 30 years of dedicated service. She was a former member of St. Louis Gonzaga Church, Utica. A loving and devoted wife, mother and sister, Judy Ann dedicated her life to her family. She had a heart of an angel. Judy Ann is survived by her husband, Alonso; a son, Michael Ferreira, of Yorkville; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Michele and Bruce Whitman, of New York Mills, and Sandra and Roy Hinckley, of Holland Patent; a brother and sister-in-law, Michael Izzo, Jr. (Kathy), of Utica; and a brother-in-law, Dennis Ernye, of Whitesboro. She is also survived by a special aunt and uncle, Fay and Hank D'Mitri, of Middleville, NY; four nieces, Jessica Whitman, Kristina Izzo, Shannon Izzo and Deana Izzo; and several great-nieces and nephews and cousins. Besides her parents, Judy Ann was predeceased by a sister, Christine Ernye, of Whitesboro, in 2013. Mrs. Ferreira's funeral and burial will be private at the convenience of her family. Arrangements are entrusted to Heintz Funeral Service, Inc., Utica.
