Mr. Louis Vulcano, 71, of 514 S. Frankfort St., passed away suddenly on Thursday evening, March 6, 2014, at Little Falls Hospital, with his loving family by his side. He was born in Syracuse, NY on Sept. 26, 1942, son of the late Angelo Vulcano and Lena (Recchio) Vulcano, of Frankfort, and graduated from MVCC. He was last employed with Faster Form in West Frankfort and formerly with MDS as a planner. Mr. Vulcano attended Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church, Frankfort, and was active throughout Frankfort during his lifetime, including St. Marys school. Louis also belonged to the St. Francis Society, also in Frankfort. Survivors include his wife, Marianne, of Frankfort; his mother, Lena, of Frankfort; his children, Louis Vulcano and wife, Stephanie, of Whitesboro, and Michael Vulcano and wife, Liz, of Greenville, NY; a brother, Jerry Vulcano, of Frankfort; grandchildren, Meghan, Marrisa, Rachel, Evan and Claire; many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors. There will be no visitation. Funeral services will be at the convenience of Mr. Vulcanos family with final burial to be made in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Frankfort with Father Paul Catena, pastor of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church, officiating. Funeral arrangements are in the caring guidance of the new Daniel J. Enea Funeral and Cremation Care, 5860 State Route 5, between Herkimer and Little Falls (508 -5250). The Vulcano family would like to acknowledge the professional public servants of the Frankfort Fire and Police Departments for their timely response and compassionate care offered on Thursday evening.
