Marion Brunet Obituary
UTICA - Marion R. Brunet, 91, of Utica, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at the Sitrin Health Care Center, New Hartford.
She was born on April 12, 1930, in Utica, the daughter of the late Henry J. and Marion R. (Patten) Brunet.
Marion was employed as an elementary school teacher by the Utica City School District, where she taught 2nd grade students in the Roosevelt Elementary School; she retired from teaching after many years of dedicated service.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews including Catherine Lawrence and her husband, James, of New Hartford, Louis Watts and his wife, Nancy, of Deerfield, William Brunet and his wife, Elaine, of Utica, Barbara Janicki and her husband, Philip, of Poland, NY, David Aiello and his wife, Dorrie, of Frankfort and Joseph Aiello, of South Carolina.
She was predeceased by her brother, Henry J. Brunet, Jr.; and her two sisters, Harriet E. Aiello and Beatrice J. Watts.
Aunt Marion will forever be fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews for the fun and laughter shared with the whole family at camp each and every weekend during the summers as we were growing up.
There are no public calling hours. Family and friends are invited to attend Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Utica, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 9, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will follow in the St. Philip Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery, 2407 Oneida Street, Utica.
