Mary Bruni Obituary
CLINTON, NY - Mrs. Mary A. (Lomanto) Bruni, 89, passed away with her loving family by her side on Monday, January 9, 2017, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center.
Mary was born in Marcy, NY, on July 21, 1927, a daughter of the late Anthony and Marion (Candella) Lomanto. She was raised in Westmoreland and attended Westmoreland High School. On August 2, 1947, Mary was joined in marriage to Victor P. Bruni. The couple shared forty-five loving years together living in Clinton and raising their family. Victor passed away on May 15, 1992.
She is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Victor A. and Valarie Bruni, of Baldwinsville, and Alfred and Susan Bruni, of Forestport; two daughters and sons-in-law, Charlene and Joseph "Jay" Koury, of FL, and Maryanne and David Antanavige, of New Hartford; grandchildren, Joseph and Stacy Koury, Kevin Koury, Cheryl Bruni, Michelle Bruni, Thomas Bruni, Aaron and Kim Bruni, Marc Bruni, David and Stephanie Antanavige, Stephen Antanavige and his fiancee, Ashley Hammond, Victoria Antanavige, and Victor A. Bruni; great-grandchildren, Noah Bruni, Lillian Bruni, Ava Koury, Allyson Koury, Roran Bruni, Arlen Bruni, and Casen Bruni; one brother, Joseph Lomanto; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lena and George Gazzal, and Frances and Guy Bonomo; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, James Lomanto and Fred Lomanto; and sisters, Sarah Shusky and Josephine Faga.
Her funeral will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony & St. Agnes Church, Utica. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are with The Matt Funeral Home, Utica.
The family would like to thank the ICU staff of St. Elizabeth Medical Center for their compassion and care shown to Mary during this difficult time. In recognition of this, please consider donations to the ICU of St. Elizabeth Medical Center. Envelopes will be available at church.
