New Hartford
Michael T. Craig, 53, of New Hartford and formerly of Chelmsford, MA, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 26, 2008 at his home. He was born February 1, 1955 in Utica, the son of the late John E. and Jane M. Miller Craig. Mike was a graduate of New Hartford Central School and Niagara University. On December 30, 1978, in Skaneateles, he married Monica M. Shean. For many years, Mike was employed in the transportation industry. He was a parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Church, New Hartford. Mike was a loving and devoted father, who enjoyed life and his family. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, enjoyed a good round of golf and was well known for his wonderful sense of humor and his ability to make people laugh. He is survived by his wife, Monica of Chelmsford, MA; five children, Kristen Craig of Edison, NJ, Daniel Craig of Miami, FL, Alison Craig of New York City, Joseph Craig of Miami, FL and MaryJane Craig of Chelmsford, MA; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Shelley Craig of Fairport, and Carol and Paul Cisco of New York City; a brother and sister-in-law, Thomas (Tucker ) and Diane Stover-Craig of Norwood, MA; his uncle and aunt, William and Gertrude Craig of New Hartford; nieces and nephews, Maddie, Annie, Matthew, Andrew, Craig, John and Marc, and cousins, Susie, Barb, Lisa and Jimmy. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Johnthe Evangelist Church, New Hartford. Calling hours are Tuesday (tonight) 4-7 at the Bentz& Amodio Funeral Service, Inc., 470 French Rd., Utica/New Hartford. In memory of Mike, kindly consider the American Heart Association.
