Richard G. Barnum, 66, of Whitesboro, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 5, 2014, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. A memorial service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of the Rosary Church in New Hartford, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday (today) from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Dimbleby, Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral Home, Forty Main St., Whitesboro. In lieu of flowers, please consider Central Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired or the Syracuse Chapter Alzheimer's Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Wendy and girls, I am so sorry for your loss. I did not have a chance to know Dick before he was sick, but I feel like I know him from my time and association with you. You are lovely young women and I know your Dad is very proud of you! Wendy, my heart goes out to you. You are one of the bravest, strongest women I have ever met. I love you!
