Richard Myslinski Obituary
SARASOTA, FL/UTICA – Richard "Rick" T. Myslinski, 55, passed away unexpectedly on April 23, 2021, in Sarasota, FL.
Rick was born on July 6, 1965, in New Hartford, the son of Thomas R. and Barbara (Zogby) Myslinski. He was a graduate of Utica Free Academy and Simmons Institute of Funeral Service. Rick was a funeral director in New York and Florida. He received a Bachelor's degree with honors in Business and Accounting from Barry University. Rick was also a business owner in the construction field.
Rick is survived by his son, Ryan, Plantation, FL; his former wife, Jeanmarie Myslinski, Plantation, FL; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Pat and Mike Salzer, New Hartford, NY, Marya Myslinski and Chris Healey, Arlington, VA, and nephews, Michael Palmisano, Matthew Healey, and Jaxon Healey.
He will be remembered for his culinary talents and for making people laugh. Rick enjoyed fishing, boating, car shows, drag races, refinishing antique furniture, and doing projects around the house. What he cherished most was spending time with his son. Memories will be in our hearts forever.
In lieu of flowers, please consider remembrances in Rick's name to an education fund for his son, Ryan. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home or donations may be made to Ryan through Zelle at [email protected].
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Saturday, May 15, 2021, from 6-7 p.m.at McGrath, Myslinski, Karboski & Nunn Funeral Directors, 470 French Rd., Utica. A Celebration of Life will begin immediately following visitation at 7 p.m.
